REPORT ON THE TWO-DAY PRE-BUDGET WORKSHOP ORGANIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND PLANNING, MINISTRY OF FINANCE, BUDGET AND ECONOMIC PLANNING HELD AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE HALL OF MUSA USMAN SECRETARIAT, MAIDUGURI ON THURSDAY,
22ND AND FRIDAY, 23RD AUGUST, 2019

The aim of the Workshop with the theme "Enhancing Budgetary Techniques for Grass-root Development" targeted mainly the Executors of the Budget in the State which include Members of Barno State House of Assembly,Permanent Secretaries,Ministerial Secretaries, Directors of Finance & Accounts, Directors of Planning, Research and Statistics,Chief Accountants and Chief Internal Auditors. The 2-day Pre-Budget Workshop started on Thursday, 22nd August, 2019 with the arrival of invited participants at the venue of the occasion as from 9.00 a.m. Participants were registered at the point of entry to the Conference Hall.

2. The opening ceremony of the Workshop commenced at 10.00 a.m. with the arrival of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Barno State, ably represented by the Chief of Staff, Dr. Baba Gana Wakkil, mni. The opening prayers was offered by Dr. Bulama Mali Gubio, mni.

3. The Permanent Secretary, Department of Budget and Planning, Hajiya Maire Bunu Lawan FC PA, FCN A delivered the welcome and Keynote Address.

4. While delivering her Keynote Address, the Permanent Secretary welcomed His Excellency, Professor (Engr.} Babagana Umara Zulum, fnse, mni ably represented by the Chief of Staff, Dr. Baba Gana Wakkil, mni.
